Seth gives us great help in learning how to create what we want in our lives. He kind of sums it up with "You are in physical existence to learn and understand that your energy, translated into feelings, thoughts, and emotions, causes all experience. There are no exceptions."

"Ideas have an electromagnetic reality. Beliefs are strong ideas about the nature of reality. Ideas generate emotion. Like attracts like, so similar ideas group about each other and you accept those that fit in with your particular 'system' of ideas."

And what seems to be the ultimate advice, "You get what you concentrate upon. There is no other main rule." This is one to write on your bathroom mirror! It's hard to really keep track of our thoughts, and when we find ourselves thinking things like, "There's no way I'll get that job," or "I'll be he will stand me up," or "I can't afford that," we need to have a little red light come on and remind us that we are creating exactly what we are concentrating on.

Maybe you have a friend or family member who, when you say something like, "I'll never find my keys in time to get to work," or anything negative, can gently remind you that you are creating what you are saying. Eventually, you will be able to recognize such thoughts and remind yourself. Then you can take the next step and reinforce the positive beliefs.

Another point Seth mentions is that, once we have stated our desire for something, we should not keep checking to see if it is there. He says, "The real work is done in the mind. If you do the work then you can rest assured of the results, but you must not check constantly for them." That kind of action would betray your doubts about whether you can create the results you want.

Another aspect of creativity that Seth mentions is playfulness. He says, "Quite deliberately use your conscious mind playfully, creating a game as children do, in which for a time you completely ignore what seems to be in physical terms and 'pretend' that what you really want is real."

Seth emphasizes the importance of imagination and emotion many times. "Imagination and emotion are your great allies."

Use your dreams. "You may request dreams in which proper direction is given, and you will receive them."

He also gives many exercises in The Nature of Personal Reality and The 'Unknown' Reality.

In The Magical Approach, he emphasizes "letting go" and allowing your desire to bring into physical reality what you want to create. "The desire will bring about the proper results. The feeling of effortlessness is what is important."
Remember what the Mahareshi Mahesh Yogi told Deepak Chopra when they were planning a world peace project, and someone asked the Mahareshi where all the money was going to come from to pay for it. He simply answered, "From wherever it is now."

"True creativity comes from enjoying the moments, which then fulfill themselves, and a part of the creative process is indeed the art of relaxation, the letting go, for that triggers magical activity."

I have Seth quotes all over my house. Two of them taped over my computer desk say "Do not worry. It should be the first commandment." (I need to read that one a lot!) And "Creativity is playful. Take for granted that all your issues are being creatively worked out to your advantage."

Seth also says that you need to be clear about what you want. I learned about making sure you're clear about what you want when we tried to sell a piece of property, and for a long time I waffled about that decision. One day I wanted to sell, and the next I didn't. This went on for a couple of years. We buried St. Joseph in the yard, along with more sensible things like visualizing the sale, but nothing happened. Then one day I realized that I had not been clear about this issue. I decided to make up my mind that I DID want to sell, and in about a month we had a buyer. As Lynda Dahl says in Beyond the Winning Streak, "My advice to you who choose to try conscious creation is get your beliefs clear, visualize what you want, and keep the faith."

I wish you a joyful adventure in creating your heart's desires!
